JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police do not yet have any suspects in custody after a man was shot in the leg Wednesday night in the 4200 block of Moncrief Road.
Police responded to reports of several shots fired around 9 p.m.,
according to Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Sgt. Bobby Lyle.
When police arrived, they found an adult male had been shot in the knee. He was transported to UF Health at Jacksonville, is expected to live and was answering officers' questions, Lyle said.
The shooting stemmed from what appeared to be a dispute between two people and two other people. The dispute escalated and one person pulled out a pistol.
The man shot in the leg and another person fled on foot, and the man shot in the leg collapsed.
Police are still investigating blood and shell casings at the scene, Lyle said.
