JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Owners of internet cafes are keeping a close eye on the verdict in the Kelly Mathis trial.
Pete Miller runs 6 "Pete's Retreat" Internet Cafes in Jacksonville. He said since the re-opening, he's changed the way things are done inside.
That included removing images people see on the games, like cherries and sevens, and eliminating the element of chance.
"Before you even pay a nickel, you know how much you'll win or lose," Miller said.
Miller does that what he calls "pre-reveal" by having customers fill out a form before the play, with the outcome clearly spelled out.
Though Miller said he's watching the verdict, he said there won't be anything that will change inside his business.
"We have no intention of changing -- we know the way the law is written the software is compliant," he said.
