JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Zeljko Causevic and his wife Vesna Orkic Causevic have lived in the city for 15 years, according to a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office police report.
Causevic, 39, was booked into the Duval County Jail at 1:30
a.m. Wednesday following an arrest by the JAX Airport Police.
Authorities say Causevic was arrested at JAX Airport after he allegedly
told security screeners he had a bomb in his backpack but they only
found an electronic scale and batteries.
Causevic is facing charges of false report about planting a bomb or
explosive and manufacture/possess/sell/deliver or mail hoax bomb,
according to the JSO jail log. An arrest
report indicates he's originally from Bosnia.
The couple has lived in the neighborhood for about 10 years, a neighbor says. Zeljko, 39, reportedly has two children ages 6 and 12, as well as a private commercial trucking company.
His neighbor 'Bella', who wishes not give a last name, says Vesna, 42, came to her home Tuesday worried about her husband. Vesna told Bella that Zeljko was acting psychotic and that he took her phone and was pacing around.
Bella says Zeljko told Vesna "they'd be sorry." Vesna then told Bella that she was taking the kids and staying at a hotel.
Bomb squad and officials were in the neighborhood last night, Bella says, but she has not seen officials today.
A man who goes by the name 'Mario' said he never saw anything strange with family but heard they were having issues. He said it is a nice neighborhood where everyone gets along.
