JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man convicted of robbing and raping a woman could be facing life in prison.
In March 2012, Dan Willie Fudge, 24, and a co-defendant met with the female victim at a gas station to sell her drugs, according to a release from the Office of the State Attorney Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
During the exchange, the victim was told to meet them at an apartment complex down the road to complete the transaction.
When the victim arrived at the designated location, the co-defendant entered the passenger side of her car while Fudge stood outside of the car, the release detailed.
The suspects then allegedly robbed the victim and forced her to have sex.
The victim was eventually able to get away and contact police.
Fudge was convicted on charges of sexual battery, robbery and kidnapping and will be sentenced the week of October 21.
