ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. - Detectives with the St. John's County Sheriff's Office wrapped up a search that began Sunday night on I-95.
The SJCSO received a tip Sunday afternoon that five males were seen by a witness carrying a limp female into the wood line on the Interstate between S.R. 207 and S.R. 16.
Detectives believe that the witness may have instead witnessed an incident between a mentally challenged female in possible seizure activity and her care givers, according to a release from the SJCSO.
The female was acting out and the caregivers were having to control her and placed her in a different vehicle.
The investigation has concluded at this time.
