WASHINGTON -- A woman reunites with her husband of 18 years, hours after multiple people were shot and killed at the Navy Yard on Monday morning.
Jacqulind Alston, of Washington, says her husband Ernest Johnson was on the fourth floor of the Navy Yard building.
They both worked at the Navy Yard in building 197, where the shootings happened.
She said she exited the building and had been calling him all morning but did not hear back from him.
"Because they can't have camera phones, and the phones are locked down on the premises, I haven't heard from him and I'm just worried sick," Alston said before being reunited with him.
Alston fought back tears when she talked about Johnson, calling him "the love of my life."
"I'm very concerned about my man, of 18 years," Alston told WUSA reporter while she was waiting to hear from her husband.
