Tomorrow, investors will get a look at the Labor Department's job openings and labor turnover survey for July.
In Brussels, the European Parliament is expected to vote Tuesday on legislation establishing a new, centralized oversight for the bloc's largest banks.
On Wednesday, the Commerce Department will release July's wholesale trade inventories.
As usual, the weekly jobless claims report from the Labor Department comes out on Thursday. Also, Freddie Mac will release the weekly mortgage rates and Treasury will release the federal budget for August.
Kroger reports it quarterly financial results on Thursday.
Investors will gain some insight into consumer spending on Friday when the Commerce Department releases retail sales data for August. Commerce will also report on July business inventories. And the government will report the Producer Price Index for August on Friday.
