JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville's Skyway is going to remain free-of-charge for another year.
However, chances are you have never spent any money to ride the Skyway because you've never actually ridden it.
The Jacksonville Transit Authority says it gets about 4-thousand riders a week now that the service is free.
The city accepted a state grant to build it, and if it stops running, they would have to pay a $70 million dollar fine.
But if they get the grant to expand the Skyway, the price tag would only be about $20 million.
