LAKE BUTLER, Fla. -- Many from Lake Butler and Union County took time out Thursday to say goodbye to 80-year-old Marvin Pritchett.
The owner of Pritchett Trucking Company was among several victims shot and killed last Saturday.
People in Lake Butler said Pritchett gave lots back to the community. He helped in the school system and even helped his employees find a place to live.
Jason Johns is a pastor with the First Baptist Church of Lake Butler. He said the outpouring of support for Pritchett is fitting, and what he expected.
"He'll be greatly missed, but his legacy will live on because of the things he did for Lake Butler and the community", he said.
The visitation for Pritchett will continue until 8:30 p.m. Thursday evening at the First Christian Church of Lake Butler. The funeral will take place at 2:00 p.m. Friday. It is open to the public.
The church's address is 155 NW 1st St. in Lake Butler.
