ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- You have a chance to own a guitar signed by one of your favorite performing artists.
You can bid on guitars that are signed by big name artists such as Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, and Boston this weekend in a charity auction in St. Augustine.
Dottie Acosta, President of the Friends of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, is in charge of organizing the event.
The group is auctioning and raffling off 21 autographed guitars, posters, a fiddle and even a radio that Garrison Keillor signed.
Boston, Matchbox 20, Martina McBride are just some of the autographs you'll see on the items.
Acosta and her group teamed up with Amphitheatre General Manager Ryan Murphy.
Murphy said the group gave his staff "un-autographed, blank guitars before each show. We walk it backstage and we give it to the tour manager."
Murphy said most of the artists signed the guitars and other items.
"There are some artists, I don't think I've seen them sign other things in the past -- whether it be Stevie Nicks or different ones -- and they were happy to sign," Murphy said.
One can only guess that the artists were "happy to sign" because they heard the autographed items would be auctioned or raffled off to raise money for summer arts and music camp at the amphitheater next summer. That kind of camp has been a goal of Murphy's.
"I have said 'wouldn't it be great if we could utilize this amazing venue for summer camp or any kind of giving back program,'" Murphy said.
The Friends of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre stepped up to the plate to help raise the money for the camp and camp scholarships for underprivileged children.
The bids are already coming in online, even before this weekend's big concert and raffle. As of Monday night, the fiddle that Alison Krauss signed was going for more than $1,000.

Acosta said there are bids coming in from Canada and different states. Some people are even in bidding wars over certain items.
No doubt, the excitement over all these instruments is music to Acosta's ears.
The guitars and items will be auctioned and raffled off this Saturday at the Celebrity Guitar Raffle/Auction Fundraiser at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will be live bands performing and admission is free. First Coast News' Jessica Clark and Phil Amato will emcee the concert. Click here for more information.
