ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- The Clay County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help identifying a "grab-and-dash" shoplifting suspect.
A woman, described by police as a heavy set black female, wearing small blue jean shorts and a tank top, entered the Belk department store at the Orange Park Mall on August 1 at 8:49 p.m.
The woman allegedly went straight to the Ralph Lauren department upstairs and grabbed five shirts from a sale table, according to a police report from the Clay County Sheriff's Office. She then went back downstairs and put the shirts in a corner close to the exit.
Next the woman grabbed four Dooney and Burke purses from a different sales rack, went back to the corner where the shirts were placed and fled outside and jumped into a black sports car waiting outside.
The vehicle fled the mall with the female suspect and nearly $800 in merchandise.
The woman was able to complete the theft in less than 10 minutes.
Anyone who has any information about this case is asked to contact the Clay County Sheriff's Office at 904-264-6512.
