ST. MARYS, Ga. -- The St. Marys Police and St. Marys Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 100 block Sunnyside Drive.
According to St. Marys Police Detective Misty Gilliland, a witness called police at about 6:30 a.m. Saturday when smoke was coming from a residence in their neighborhood.
Police arrived to the scene and entered the building when they allegedly discovered an operating meth lab, which was causing the smoke.
Det. Gilliland said they called the Camden County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force to secure the scene.
Police have two people in custody and arrested Ronald Aaron Gay in connection to the suspected meth lab. All three were transported to the Camden County Jail.
