(AP) - A newspaper is reporting that all three crewmembers aboard a military plane that crashed in Eastern Washington have died.
The Spokesman-Review quotes a county sheriff as saying no one survived this morning's crash into a farm field about 50 miles west of Spokane. Aerial views of the crash site showed a large crater in a farm field, surrounded by blackened vegetation.
The plane was based at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, where a spokesman says the crew was on a routine training mission.
Officials at the base say the cause of the accident is under investigation. Whidbey Island is home to the U.S. Navy's tactical electronic warfare squadrons.
