ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Two roommates, one who resisted arrest by fighting with a deputy, are being charged in connection with car burglaries in the Heritage Landing subdivision.
Jonathon Gagnon, 24, and Jesse Bolton, 28, were arrested early Saturday morning on two charges each of burglary to a vehicle, according to a release from St. Johns County Sheriff's Office Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw.
A witness called the Sheriff's Office after seeing two men attempt to get into a vehicle in the 2800 block of Sheephead Court, according to the release.
Deputies saw Gagnon and Bolton sitting in a vehicle in the 2700 block of Spinnerbait Court.
The two tried to run and Gagnon was not able to make it over a privacy fence and fought a deputy before being arrested.
Bolton was later tracked down by a deputy and his K-9 to Mandarin Terrace and taken into custody.
Gagnon's charges also include two charges of resisting arrest with violence and two charges of battery on a law enforcement officer. He was released from the St. Johns County Jail on $11,500 in total bonds.
Bolton is also charged with criminal mischief and resisting arrest without violence. He remains in jail on $4,000 in total bonds.
