JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two people are recovering after being shot in downtown Jacksonville early Thursday morning.

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Grant Street in reference to a person being shot, according to a police report form the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

23-year-old Eric Randall was found inside his apartment with a gunshot wound to his buttock and right foot, the JSO report detailed.

Randall was transported to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police found one person shot near the corner of Grant and A. Phillip Randolph, according to a police report form the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Another person was found shot a few blocks away. First Coast News will update with more information on the second story as we learn more from law enforcement.
