JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The North Florida Chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation is now accepting grant applications.
The grant funds are for 2013-2014 and are for breast cancer and breast health programs from nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies and educational institutions in Duval, Nassau, St. Johns, Baker and Clay Counties, according to a news release from Susan G. Komen North Florida.
The maximum for each grant award is $30,000 for the new award year, according to the release.
Executive Director Bruce Grob said, "The promise of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for everyone and energizing science to find the cure."
The grant cycle runs from April 1, 2013, through March 31, 2014. Eligible applications must be received by 5 p.m. on February 15. Announcements as to which groups receive the grant funding will be made on March 20, 2013.
