KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. -- Clay County Fire Rescue responded to a fire to the White Elephant shortly before 4:30 Tuesday morning after a passerby saw flames and smoke.
The passerby called 911 and said they could see flames through a window and smoke coming from the vents of the bar located at 7900 State Road 100, Clay County Fire Rescue Deputy Fire Chief David Motes said.
Motes said it took crews from Fire Station 11 six minutes to arrive. Both Bradford and Clay County Fire Departments worked together to battle the blaze.
No occupants or firefighters were injured, Motes said.
Due to extensive damage, fire officials said the business will not be able to immediately return to service.
Motes said firefighters reported the fire out at approximately 5:03 a.m.
The State Fire Marshal's office is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
