LARGO, Fla. -- A Tampa Bay area man has been sentenced to 26 years in prison for a fatal drunken driving crash.

As part of a deal with Pinellas County prosecutors, 31-year-old Scott Michael Nicholson was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to two counts of DUI-manslaughter and one count of reckless driving with serious bodily injury.

Authorities say Nicholson was going more than 100 miles per hour in August 2011 when he crashed into another car. His blood alcohol content was later recorded as 0.13 percent. Florida law considers a driver impaired at 0.08 percent.

The Tampa Bay Times (http://bit.ly/VCaIYA ) reports that the crash seriously injured the other car's driver, Devin Plant, and killed its two passengers, 25-year-old Diana Nusspickel and 25-year-old Charles Lutes II.
