JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Deercreek Golf and Country Club Head Golf Professional Tom Maxwell will help raise funds for the First Tee of Jacksonville by teeing off. And teeing off. And teeing off. Over and over again.
Maxwell will attempt to play as many holes of golf as he possibly can in one day.
Maxwell, according to a release for the event, said he foresees being able to squeeze in about 100 holes. He plans to play from dawn until dusk and possibly even into the darkness.
Maxwell is scheduled to start his quest for 100 holes of golf in 24-hours November 20.
The goal of the event is to raise money for the First Tee of Jacksonville. The focus of the organization is to help children gain a lifelong interest in golf by engaging them in a structured golf curriculum taught through physical education classes, while positively impacting their lives and ensuring the vitality of the game.
Maxwell is taking pledges on a per hole basis.
