JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 38-year-old with multiple felony sex crime convictions this week received a sentence of civil confinement as a sexually violent predator.

Terry Wayne Busler will spend an indefinite amount of time at the Florida Civil Commitment Center in Aracais, Florida, according to a news release from State Attorney Angela Corey's office.

The release said Busler was convicted of lewd a lascivious act in 1996 for committing a sexual battery on a 12-year-old girl.

He violated his probation in 2000, receiving a five year prison sentence.

The release said Busler was adjudicated guilty in 1999 for a charge of sexual activity involving a 16-year-old girl.

This week experts testified Busler suffers from a personality disorder.  The experts said that disorder makes him likely to engage in sexually violent acts.

The release said the experts testified Busler needs to be in a long-term care facility receiving treatment.
