No trick for these free Halloween treats

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Businesses are hoping to scare up additional business this year by offering free items and giveaways this Halloween.

Matthew Cheng, creator of eCoupons.com and HalloweenFreebies.net, said, "Trick or Treat your way to free donuts and meals with Halloween Freebies at your local restaurant.  Dress yourself or come with your costumed kids and eat free.

Halloween freebies available October 31 include:

  • Bob Evans - Kids eat free when they wear their costume.
  • Chipotle - Come into any Chipotle dressed in costume from 4 p.m. to close and you'll get a burrito, bowl, salad or and order of tacos for $2.
  • Krispy Kreme - Wear your favorite costume to Krispy Kreme to receive your free Halloween or pumpkin spice doughnut.
  • Outback Steakhouse - Kids eat free on Halloween. In honor of Halloween, Outback is hiding a treat for you to find: A free steak dinner to use on your next visit.
  • Sonic - R.I.P. Hunger with 50 cent corn dogs all day on Halloween.
  • Subway - Frankenweenie free with every Subway Fresh Fit for Kids meal.
  • Wendy's - Buy a $1 Frosty coupon book and hand out coupons for a free Jr. Frosty.  Every book sold will benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, helping children in foster care find permanent, loving homes.
