JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- This Friday Beauclerc Elementary School will host a community-wide recycling day.
The event is for parents, students and community members to bring in household items that need to be recycled.
The items eligible to be collected include computers, clothes, household products, printers, monitors, copiers, plastic and glass bottles, newspapers, magazines, books, cell phones, eyeglasses, household batteries, car and truck batteries, plastic caps, pop tabs from cans and cartridges from copiers and printers.
Also eligible for drop off are green, brown and clear glass, empty tin and steel cans and various cardboard items. The cardboard items include cereal boxes, corrugated cardboard, soda cartons and pizza boxes.
On hand to assist with the recycling will be Goodwill and Southland Waste Systems. The groups will also help remove the items.
Paint cans or fluorescent light bulbs will not be collected.
The event is scheduled to run from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday, October 26.
Beauclerc Elementary School is located at 4555 Craven Road West.
