NEW YORK (AP) - Wall Street managed a late surge Monday, helping the key averages to finish the day in positive territory. That was after downbeat earnings weighed on market during much of the trading session.
The Dow rose 2 points to 13,346. The S&P 500 added a fraction to 1,434, while the Nasdaq composite index gained 11 points to 3,017.
Falling stocks slightly outnumbered rising ones on the New York Stock Exchange. Volume was in line with the recent average, 3.2 billion shares.
