JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville's port authority is now welcoming the Panama-based SC Line to the Talleyrand Marine Terminal.
SC Line's bi-weekly USATRUCK route connects the port with Colombia, Panama and Venezuela.
The company's executives chose Jacksonville because its proximity to highways, accessibility to auctions, quality port-based automotive processors and ease of doing business, according to a press release from Nancy Rubin with JAXPORT.
"Jacksonville is a strategic port for us. It is the place to come as we look to grow our volumes and we want everyone to know there's a new way to ship vehicles," said Blado Caimares, Senior Account Executive at SC Line.
SC Line is working together with Seaonus Stevedoring at Talleyrand and Export Freight & Brokers, Inc., a shipping company concentrating on heavy equipment exports.
The company also recently acquired General Motors as an account.
