SUSAN G. KOMEN NORTH FLORIDA RACE FOR THE CURE: The N. FL Race for the Cure celebrates, honors & remembers those affected by breast cancer & raises funds needed to support N. FL breast health programs. The Race includes a 5k & a 2k run/walk. Registration is open online at www.komennorthflorida.org. Individuals and teams may sign up. It's Saturday from 7:00a to 3:00p at Metropolitan Park. Price: $35 for registration 75% of funds raised stay in N. FL to support local breast health programs. The remaining 25% helps to fund national breast cancer research.

SEA AND SKY SPECTACULAR: Join the City of Jacksonville, Naval Station Mayport and City of Jacksonville Beach, City of Neptune Beach and City of Atlantic Beach as the skies and waterways of the First Coast are transformed into the backdrop for the most exciting air acts and military demonstrations in the world! This FREE event will feature a dynamic over-the-ocean sky show highlighted by the world-famous United States Navy Blue Angels along with other military and civilian flight teams, live entertainment, a street festival featuring static displays of aircraft and military vehicles, simulators, recruitment booths, a kids area and a Meet The Performers Autograph session presented by VyStar Credit Union. THE NOTHING'S OUT OF BOUNDS FIELD DAY: On Saturday, October 20 from 9 a.m. To 1 p.m. at EverBank Field will include 65 children with Down Syndrome and their families, in a partnership with the Down Syndrome Center at Hope Haven Children's Clinic. October is National Down Syndrome Awareness Month. This is the first in a series of C.A.M.P. events hosted by the Donovin Darius Foundation, with a focus on Character; Action; Motivation; Purpose. The Jacksonville Jaguars and Baptist Health/Wolfson Children's Hospital are partnering with the Donovin Darius Foundation to provide NFL/Jaguars Play 60 camps at EverBank Field over the next three months. Families will have an opportunity to get a behind the scenes tour of the stadium, motivational/inspirational talk with Donovin, as well as engage in fun physical activities and games appropriate for all ages. Registration is limited to the first 65 families who complete the online application. It's free to attend. The farmer's market runs this Saturday from 7 a.m. Through 7 p.m. They're having a health fair this Saturday.
23RD ANNUAL FESTA ITALIANA: The Italian American Club of Jacksonville hosts the 23rd Annual Festa Italiana. Activities include kids bounce houses, Italian food, and more. No admission fee. It's Saturday from 10am to 9pm and Sunday from noon to 6pm. Iacofjacksonville.com

3RD ANNUAL OKTOBERFEST: On Saturday, October 20th, the Riverside Arts Market presents its annual Oktoberfest, featuring extended evening hours until 10:30pm to include live music, good eats and local brews under the bridge! Beer selections from Bold City Brewery, Green Room Brewing, Intuition Ale Works and Pinglehead Brewing Company will accompany RAM's artist vendors and street performers during normal Market hours from 10am-4pm, with beer sales, food vendors and other festivities continuing until 10:30pm. River Stage entertainment includes Shawn Lightfoot and the Brigade from 4-5:15pm, Once Step Ahead of the Law from 6-8:30pm and Tropic of Cancer from 9-10:30pm. SOUTHERN WOMENS SHOW: The shows returns to Jacksonville for it's 25th year, bringing cool jewelry, handbags, makeup tips and tricks, gourmet treats and more! It's all this weekend at the Prime Osborn Convention Center. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids 6 to 12 and children under 6 are free. THE GREATER JACKSONVILLE FAIR HORSE SHOW: The show is Saturday at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center, gates open at 6:30 a.m. The $35.00 entry fee covers registration, stall fee and one (1) bale of shavings. The Official Rules of the Florida 4-H Area & State Horse Shows (Revised 2011) will be used to govern the show.
SIMON KIDGITS CLUB BARNYARD BASH AT THE ORANGE PARK MALL: The Kidgits head to the farm as they learn about farm animals, crops and how to have fun down on the farm! Also be sure to stop by Brighton Collectibles. The store is donating $10 for every $50 bracelet sold during the month of October to Jacksonville's MSABC 5k walk. This Saturday, a survivor will be at the store to share her battle with breast cancer with others.
MOSH EVENTS: On Saturday, it's Astronomy Day at MOSH! MOSH is partnering with NEFAS, the Northeast Florida Astronomy Society, for Astronomy Day activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children's activities and solar viewing atop MOSH's roof will be the featured activities. And be inspired by the next generation as high school students present chemistry projects throughout the museum. Projects will be on display from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
HERITAGE COUNCIL OF ST. JOHNS COUNTY FESTIVAL: The Council is holding it's annual festival this Saturday at Palencia in St. Augustine from 5 - 8 pm. The mayor will be attending and there will be a host of Spanish dancers including Zumbatomic Kids, flamenco dancers, a four piece Spanish band, booths from seven high schools, representation from Flagler College, food and much more.
HALLA GALLA: A HAUNTINGLY VICTORIAN SOIREE: The Junior Service League of St. Augustine will be hosting its annual black tie fundraiser on October 20th at the historic Lightner Museum in downtown St. Augustine. The evening promises to delight with eerie spirits of the past. Festivities begin at 6:30pm; guests can look forward to a night filled with frighteningly good entertainment and fun! A Ticket price of $125 includes dinner and dessert buffets, open bar, silent and live auctions, charitable gambling and special live performances throughout the evening. It's a Halloween party just for the pooches: Trick-or-treating around the property and a doggy costume contest! Also, don't miss out on a pet expo, games, prizes, drink specials and live music on the Courtyard stage! Yappy Hour is a free event for dogs and their owners.
