JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- One of our nation's symbols is recovering on Talbot Island.

Cindy Mosling with B.E.A.K.S. says a bald eagle, named Blue, was found injured at Naval Air Station Jacksonville on Monday night.

Mosling said she believes the bald eagle may have tangled with another eagle. It appears the bird may have come down with some type of serious illness.

She said the bird has been stabilized, but is still very weak.

Moslind adds she wants to thank the men and women at NAS Jacksonville who were extremely helpful in getting her on base and to the eagle in time to save it.
