JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Duval Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland is inviting the public to be present during a voting equipment test prior to the November 6 General Election.
The logic and accuracy of Duval County's voting equipment will be tested Thursday October 18 beginning at 9 a.m.
Testing will take place at the Supervisor of Elections Branch Office located at 5200-2 Norwood Ave.
It is a requirement under Florida law that the Supervisor of Elections conduct a public test of the county's automatic tabulation equipment and reporting software before each election to ensure the operation and recording accuracy.
The testing is performed on a random sampling of all the tabulating equipment that will be used on Election Day.
