ATLANTA -- The original developer of Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park has come up with ideas to redesign parts of the park.
The Georgia World Congress Center is planning a makeover for the park. Assistant park manager Joe Skopitz tells WSB-TV the goal is to get people to spend some time in the park rather than just passing through.
Several new features include better water features with real wading, a beer garden and terrace restaurant.
The great lawn would remain an open space. Renting it out is one of the park's main revenue sources.
Plans call for new features around the park's edge and more on-street parking.
There is no timeline for major improvements, and no funding sources have been identified.
