ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- A western New York zoo's "snowbirds" will feel right at home in Florida.
The Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester is once again sending its American alligators back to the Sunshine State for the winter after they spent the summer in upstate New York.
A professional animal mover will transport the three gators next week to St. Augustine's Alligator Farm.
Gators from the farm have been a seasonal attraction at the Rochester zoo for more than a decade, arriving each May in time for summer visitors. But each September after Labor Day, they're sent back to their home state because the zoo doesn't have the proper housing for the reptiles.
Zoo officials say the gators are one of the top attractions. They'll remain on display each day until their departure early next week.
