WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- A South Florida woman has been sentenced to life in prison for fatally shooting a man.

A Palm Beach County judge sentenced 23-year-old Kirby Colyntheia Wright on Monday after a jury found her guilty of first-degree murder.

Authorities say Wright shot 36-year-old Antonio Bannister in May 2010, but no motive was given. Prosecutors say a witness who wasn't called to testify claimed the two had a dispute over money.

According to the Palm Beach Post, Wright's attorney says the shooting was self-defense.
