NEW YORK (AP) - Wall Street didn't find the will to lift stock prices higher in Monday trading. The key averages lost a bit of ground.
The Dow Jones industrial average closed down nearly 21 points at 13,559. The Standard & Poor's 500 index was down 3 points to 1,460.
The Nasdaq composite index sank 19 to 3,161. A decline in the value of Apple stock weighed on the Nasdaq.
The yield on the 10-year Treasury note fell to 1.72 percent from 1.75 percent late Friday.
