HOMESTEAD, Fla. -- A Cold War exhibit features the military defense of south Florida following the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The Everglades National Park in Homestead is hosting the exhibit. It will feature historic photos and artifacts donated from Nike Missile Veterans and other individuals surrounding their experiences while defending south Florida.

Everglades National Park is home to one of four permanent U.S. Army Nike Missile sites that were constructed around Miami to defend south Florida during the Cold War.

The exhibit is open through Oct. 30.
