Actress Sally Struthers, Archie Bunker's daughter on groundbreaking sitcom All in the Family, was arrested in Maine on Wednesday on a charge of suspected drunk driving.

A TV station in Portland WCSH-TV, is reporting that Struthers, 65, was arrested shortly after midnight on U.S. Route 1 in the southern Maine resort town of Ogunquit. She posted $160 bail and is due in court Dec. 13.

Struthers has been in town performing in Dolly Parton's play 9 to 5 The Musical at the Ogunquit Playhouse.

A two-time Emmy winner, Struthers is best known for playing Gloria Stivic, Archie Bunker's daughter in CBS' All in the Family, which pioneered comedy about race, politics and the sexual revolution on TV in the 1970s.

She also starred in Fox's 9 to 5, her own CBS series Gloria, and had recurring roles in the CBS comedy Still Standing and WB's Gilmore Girls.

Younger Americans might know Struthers best for her late-night, heart-tugging commercials as a longtime spokeswoman for children's charities such as Save the Children and ChildFund.
