Michelle Obama to make campaign stop in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- First Lady Michelle Obama will be in Gainesville on Monday to campaign for her husband President Barack Obama.

She plans to speak to grassroots supporters at the Stephen O'Connell Center at the University of Florida at 3:30 p.m. Doors open at 12 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public, but attendees will need to get a ticket due to limited space.

Tickets are available beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday and if tickets are still available, they will be distributed at 10 a.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. They will be distributed at five locations in Gainesville, including the UF box office and the following Organizing for America offices:

Mrs. Obama will also make a stop in Tallahassee later on Monday, speaking to a crowd at the Tallahassee Leon County Civic Center just before 7 p.m.
