LAKE CITY, Fla. -- A man walked into a CVS Wednesday night to buy a 99¢ can of Vienna sausages. But the cashier said he only had 36¢, so he put the sausages on the counter, left the store and then returned an hour later to attempt a robbery.
The clerk told the Lake City Police Department the man came back about around 8:50 p.m. to the CVS at 2233 US-90W. This time he held his shirt up to his nose in an attempt to cover his face, but the clerk could still recognize him.
"Give me all your money, I'm not joking," said the man, according to a news release from the Lake City Police Department.
The clerk stood her ground, telling him to leave three times. He then walked out. No weapon was ever shown.
Police are looking for a white man about six feet tall, wearing tan desert camo pants, a black shirt, work boots and a red/black baseball cap.
If you have any information about the suspect you are asked to call the Lake City Police Department TIP line at 386-719-2068. You can remain anonymous.
