ORANGE PARK, Fla. --Ridgeview High School senior defensive tackle Joey Miller only played one play during the Panthers' win over Creekside this past Friday night, but he is being honored as our Athlete of the Week because of his hard work and dedication.

Miller is in the ESE (Exceptional Student Education) program at Ridgeview.  During school, he works with Tom Frawley, a teachers aide who is also a football coach.  Frawley oversees a group that includes Miller as they paint the practice fields and the game field.  This activity helps to get the kids ready to enter the work force.

Joey is now in his third season with the Panthers football team, and he has made significant improvements since he first started playing.  He fulfills all of the requirements for being on the team, and the players and coaches accept him with open arms.
