JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The University of North Florida has been ranked by Forbes as one of "America's Best Colleges."
This is is the second year in a row the university has made the list.
UNF ranked fourth in Florida among state universities. UNF ranked No. 427 in the nation. Last year it had been ranked No. 491. USF ranked No. 449 and UCF ranked No. 462.
UNF President John Delaney said, "The University is now showing up in nearly every national college ranking, putting UNF at the top of some very impressive lists. While the national recognition is an important benchmark of our quality and value, it's the small class sizes and individualized attention that have become hallmarks of a UNF education."
Forbes compared 650 undergraduate institutions in the country. They focused on criteria that would matter to students: quality of teaching, great career prospects, high graduation rates and low levels of debt.
