ATLANTA -- Police say a theology student who reported being robbed at gunpoint is the latest student to be attacked in a string of such cases in Atlanta.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the Interdenominational Theological Center student was walking home from a friend's house around 4 a.m. Sunday after studying. He said two armed men "came out of nowhere" and stole his wallet, cell phone, iPad and book bag.
Authorities say the attack happened one day after the gun-point robbery of two female Spelman College students.
The two female Spelman students, another woman and two males were robbed around 2 a.m. Saturday at Dean Rusk Park. Police say the assailants ordered them to take off their clothes and then jump into a nearby pond.
