PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- A Palatka man died Saturday night after a one vehicle crash on State Road 19.
The Florida Highway Patrol says Scott Conley, 49, was traveling south on SR 19 in a 1992 Chevy pickup truck. He was passing another vehicle, lost control and went onto the west shoulder. The vehicle then went into the woods and struck several trees.
The vehicle began to overturn, ejecting the driver. Conley was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The FHP says he was not wearing a seatbelt.
