JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --  A road that leads to nowhere is now the center of a charity investigation.

On Sewell Road there are old tires, and even a boat.  But on Monday, there was also a pile of boxes and bags full of Christmas decorations, clothes, glass and tapes.

Chris Bouton happened to be driving by this dead end road Monday morning when he spotted something out here he said wasn't right.

"A Vietnam Veterans donation truck was pulling out of Sewell Road. There's nothing down there. I was curious why they were pulling out," said Bouton.

So he said he drove down the road and spotted what appeared to be donated goods.

"There was a pile of freshly dumped household goods that I assumed that truck had just dumped," said Bouton.

First Coast News contacted the Vietnam Veterans of America who said it had no comment, but promised to look in to the matter.

Less than two hours after we called the charity, one of its trucks was on scene.  The driver took pictures and then started to collect what was out there.

When asked if the charity was doing its own investigation, the driver, said, "Yes we are."

When asked if the charity had been able to look at the GPS coordinates for the truck, the driver said, "Yes."

He also confirmed the truck was in the area on Monday.  He told us the charity had a pick up in the area less than a mile from this spot. He then told us he couldn't say anymore.

"People donate items to the Vietnam Veterans thinking it's gonna go to a good cause, and they are dumping it on the side of the the road some place," said Bouton.

Bouton said he would like some answers and he's sure those who donated the goods would like some answers too.

"I would rather not dump it somewhere. I would rather them take it to the landfill if they can't use it."  Bouton said he also called the City of Jacksonville to report the illegal dumping.
