JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Looking to buy a home?
Wells Fargo & Company is deploying its NeighborhoodLIFT program in Jacksonville this weekend. The program provides homebuyer support, education and an opportunity to qualify for up to $15,000 in down payment assistance to buy a home in Jacksonville.
The homebuyer workshop will be Friday and Saturday at the Prime Osborn from 10 a.m until 7 p.m.
At the event, people can find out if they qualify for the down payment assistance program and reserve money for 60 days, even if they haven't found a house yet they want to buy.
There are some requirements for eligibility:
-
Household income cannot exceed 120% of the area median income adjusted for family size. In Jacksonville, that is $80,750 for a family of four.
-
Not required to be a first-time homebuyer
-
If you currently own a home, it must be sold prior to closing. The current home cannot be rented/leased.
Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required. You can register at www.neighborhoodlift.com or call 866-858-2151.
