JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- It was caught on a security camera, there is no sound, but the few seconds of video are very impressive with a front loading washing machine exploding for no obvious reason.
"We have no more use," said Toan Luu who bought the machine July 2011.
Everything just blew out. Luckily, no one was there and no one was injured.
Luu and his family own Luxury Nails Spa and uses the washing machine to clean the towels and normal laundry.
On August 16, his $500 washer exploded. Since then Luu has been in a fight to replaced it.
"Everything they do, paperwork, take so long," said Luu.
According to his receipt, he purchased the machine from a Best Buy in 2011 with an extended warranty through 2015.
Does this still work? We don't know it has been disconnected.
Luu says he wants to know who is responsible for his two year old front loading washing machine and the damage it caused.
The adjacent refrigerator is so damaged you can't even close the door. Best Buy says this type of damage is not covered under its Geek Squad warranty.
"They say because this one explode and not the normal broke," Luu said.
Samsung, the manufacturer, has determined it is not repairable, but Luu is still without a working machine which he says he needs to help the family business.
"We just want replace the whole thing," Luu said.
We contacted Samsung and a spokesperson told On Your Side they've contacted mr. Luu and have resolved it to the customer's satisfaction.
