JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Seniors vs. Crime has had a presence on the First Coast and in the state for years. Now, the group is finally seeing progress when it comes to helping seniors from getting their identities stolen by scammers.
"It's a pretty big job" said Valerie Norton, Seniors vs. Crime manager in Duval County.
Norton, along with a group of other volunteers, teaches classes to different groups of seniors.
The topics range from who to hire for help after a hurricane, to how to handle calls from people looking for personal information.
The group has offices throughout Jacksonville, and the whole state.
