JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Internet Crime complaint center has a scam alert

It is an online tech support scam that has already caused consumers to lose millions.

Callers claim they're from a software company and a virus has been detected on your computer.

They want permission to scan your operating system and a fee to remove the virus. Don't do it.
