JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Kyle sent us a contract the signed and a sales receipt for $3,047 in cabinets he bought from the Home Renovation Outlet on Ramona Boulevard, but he has yet to receive them.
First Coast News went to that location on Ramona Blvd. The store had a sign on the front door simply reading "closed." There were items inside the store, but no one around.
The numbers we called to the store were disconnected and their website does not work. The Better Buisness Bureau told FCN it got 25 calls in 30 days about this company.
A Florida Department of Revenue search shows the company C. Duke Enterprises, which owns home renovations, owes the state nearly $30,000 in taxes.
FCN also couldn't find a license for Home Renovations. We also found no bankruptcy judgement information for the company.
Solution: The BBB said if you've got a recent contract with the company, to call the State's Attorney's office to see what recourse you have.
