WASHINGTON -- Thousands of infant car seats are being recalled. Britax says the Chaperone car seats have a faulty harness adjuster.

The problem can prevent the seats from properly securing an infant during a crash.

Britax will begin notifying owners and sending repair kits next month.

If you have a Britax Chaperone infant car seat and the harness adjuster has detached from the seat, you should stop using it immediately.
