CHICAGO (AP) -- A judge has ruled that authorities must return two vehicles, computers and several other items seized in the investigation of a former Illinois police officer suspected in the disappearance of his wife.
Drew Peterson has not been charged with a crime, but he's been named a suspect in the October disappearance of his fourth wife. Police have labeled the case a possible homicide.
A coroner has also ruled that Peterson's third wife was murdered. Her death four years ago had been classified as an accidental bathtub drowning.
The judge ruled that Peterson will not be getting back nearly a dozen guns police took from his suburban Chicago home. State Police revoked his firearms owners ID card at the request of prosecutors.
Peterson denies any wrongdoing. He says he thinks his wife ran off with another man.
