CASPER, Wy. -- Once a year, people from all over Colorado - and the entire country - make a pilgrimage to Casper, Wyoming, for a machine gun and cannon shoot.
Freedom is more than an idea for a weekend in Casper. It is an experience.
"It's getting more and more difficult to exercise your 2nd Amendment rights in this country," said David Lansky, who drove from Phoenix for the weekend.
His gun is the price of a "very expensive car," said Lansky with a smile.
"They're not going to be very happy if I show up at a gun range with this. It'll shoot the back wall out," added Lansky.
Many cited the event as relaxing or therapeutic.
Proceeds from the event go to the Casper Mountain Volunteer Fire Department.
