NEWTOWN, CONN. - Police officers from other communities are on duty Tuesday in Newtown, Connecticut, so that Newtown officers can have Christmas day off.

One police detective from Greenwich, Connecticut who's working a half-day shift in Newtown said, "It's a nice thing that they can use us this way."

Eleven days after the shootings that left 20 children and six adults dead at an elementary school, Newtown continues to receive displays of support and sympathy from around the country.
