ST. PAUL, Minn. -- What a difference a day makes to a couple of harbor seals and a big old polar bear.
Berlin (the polar bear), Vivian and Feisty (harbor seals) are safe and sound at the Como Zoo, rescued from their now washed out home, the Lake Superior Zoo in Duluth.
The trio was transported to Como in the early morning hours.
Berlin, is slowly adjusting but certainly worn out.
"She is laying down quite a bit, relaxing, I would be tired too after the day she had," zookeeper Alli Jungheim of Como Zoo said.
Berlin's spot at the zoo in Duluth was flooded out so she swam to safe harbor before she was captured and taken to the vet but Vivienne and Feisty, they had quite the day on Wednesday.
The half sister harbor seals swam all the way into downtown Duluth during the melee but thankfully were captured.
In this morning's commute the girls got a little salty with each other during transport when Feisty took a bite off of her sister's schnoz.
"I believe Feisty started it, which leads to the name," Jungheim said.
The seals are in isolation at Como right now, and will be for the next several days.
But soon they will be center stage at Como so fans can come see them.
Berlin will likely not be in an exhibit, she will be kept in isolation for at least 30 days.
